Raffensperger Blasts Ossoff/Warnock Shutdown, Pushes TSA Privatization as Airport Delays Grow

Johns Creek, GA — In response to the long lines at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport caused by Democrats partially shutting down the federal government, conservative businessman Brad Raffensperger released the following statement:

“Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock are playing politics with the safety and security of the American people and prioritizing illegal immigrants over citizens. Instead of backing the resources needed to deport dangerous criminals and keep our airports secure, they chose partisanship and now Georgia families and travelers are paying the price.

“But let’s be honest: chaos and dysfunction in Washington are nothing new. They’re as predictable as gridlock traffic on I-285 at rush hour and just as frustrating. Government shutdowns, bureaucratic failure, and political grandstanding have become the norm, yet Democrats in Atlanta refuse to act.

“We must privatize security at the airport. The TSA’s Screening Partnership Program exists to prevent exactly this kind of failure, and airports across the country are already using it to deliver faster, more reliable service. Yet the busiest airport in the world remains at the mercy of federal incompetence. That’s inexcusable and it demands action now to prevent this kind of chaos from happening again.

“Enough with the excuses. Georgia families are stuck in lines while Congress fails and Atlanta leaders are sitting on their hands. Washington may be broken, but Georgia doesn’t have to be. Privatize airport security. Fix the problem. Do your job.”
