Real Leadership

Meet Brad Raffensperger

Brad Raffensperger is a man of faith and conservative businessman who stands on principle and puts hardworking Georgians first.

After earning a Bachelor of Engineering Science in Civil Engineering from Western University and a Master of Business Administration from Georgia State University, Brad founded Tendon Systems, a provider of high-strength steel for construction projects with his first 105,000 SF manufacturing plant in Columbus, Georgia and a second 95,000 SF facility in Forsyth County. Under his leadership, Tendon Systems grew to become the Southeast’s largest post-tensioning specialist contractor, employing more than 150 people and completing projects in over 40 states. He later launched Trillium Structures, a structural design consulting firm with mid-rise and high-rise projects across the Southeast, along with several other successful businesses.

In 2011, he was elected to the Johns Creek City Council. Three years later, he won a seat in the Georgia House of Representatives, where he served two terms. In 2018, Georgia voters elected him as Secretary of State, and he was re-elected in 2022 with a commanding majority.

At home, Brad has built a strong family with faith in God as the foundation. He married his high school sweetheart, Tricia, and together they raised three sons, teaching them “to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God. (Micah 6:8). Brad and Tricia are active members of North Point Community Church and regularly volunteer with local nonprofits.

Professional Journey

2018 – Present

Secretary of State

State of Georgia

In 2018, Brad was elected Secretary of State— and overwhelmingly re-elected in 2022.

As Secretary, Brad modernized Georgia’s elections by delivering the largest voting machine rollout in U.S. history— on time and under budget— while implementing the state’s first auditable paper ballot system. He championed secure elections with voter ID for every form of voting and cracked down on outdated voter rolls to ensure only American citizens vote.

2015 – 2019

State Representative

Georgia House of Representatives

In the Georgia House, Brad served on the  Energy, Utilities & Telecommunications, Intragovernmental Coordination, and Juvenile Justice committees, focusing on legislation to improve infrastructure and support economic growth, showcasing his dedication to the well-being of Georgians.

2012-2015

City Councilman

Johns Creek City Council

During his time on the Johns Creek City Council, Brad fought hard to reduce property taxes by ensuring budget surpluses went straight to tax relief. He helped implement term limits for councillors, and championed infrastructure improvements that reduced commuters’ drive times significantly.

2007 – 2023

Founder/CEO

Tendon Systems

Brad founded and grew Tendon Systems into the Southeast’s largest post-tensioning specialist, providing high-strength steel and engineering solutions to construction projects across more than 40 states. He also launched Trillium Structures, a design consulting firm that shaped commercial skylines throughout the South.
