Conservative Legislative Record
Brad Raffensperger serves District 50 in Georgia’s House of Representatives, serving four committees: Energy, Utilities and Telecommunications, Insurance, Intragovernmental Coordination, and Juvenile Justice.
As a State Representative, Brad sponsored House Bill 87 to reduce red tape by reducing the frequency that businesses must file with the Secretary of State’s office. His legislation passed the House and Senate in 2017 and was signed into law by Governor Deal.
Rep. Raffensperger authored legislation in the 2016 Session HB 781 to require members of governmental boards and commissions to be citizens of the United States if they are in a position to raise taxes, though any appointee could still serve in an ex-officio status without voting power to tax. Raffensperger has stated that unelected people who are not U.S. citizens should not have the legal power to tax Georgians.
Brad was endorsed by Georgia Right to Life in his campaign for State Representative, earned an “A” rating from the National Rifle Association as a state legislator, and has never voted for a tax increase.
